《USO？！ JAPAN》这个节目主要是去找寻传说中奇异事件，再由外景主持人进行调查事实真相。同时这个节目也有开放观众一起参与。每一集都有排行前十名的奇异事件，这些事件当然不会只有恐怖鬼怪的，不然整整一个小时的时间，会把观众吓得整个人皮肉分离。也许是因为日本人做事情严谨，即使调查这样的事情也不可马虎，观众这时就可以看到平日穿著金光闪闪舞台服的偶像，如今却得深入大多人不敢去的地方，面对另一个空间的事物。 　节目中除了实地进行察访之外，也有三个单元让人毛骨悚然，第一个就是数十年前曾经红极一时「鬼话连篇」当中的灵异照片，由小仓弘子负责的这个部份，她不是只拿一张照片就算了事，制作单位还将整张照片放大，甚至用红圈框起来，让观众看个清楚，曾经在一张灵异照片当中，居然有现场观众看到同一张照片有另一个奇异景象，反过来告诉主持群的奇异状况。另一个单元是CD内奇异声音重现，现场会播放某些在歌词当中出现的怪声，由于是现场播放，每一次都会引发观众尖叫连连，这些奇异歌曲还包括了许多知名艺人的作品，不过这类事件并不是频频发生，再加上可能对专辑销售有部份影响，这个单元日后也较少出现。第三个部份是录像带恐怖影象，制作群搜集相关电影奇异现象片段，其中包括最著名的「三个奶爸一个娃」和「贞子复活」等电影。
